ABOUT PANE & PASTA

We are dedicated to bringing the tradition of Italian handmade bread and pasta, to the residents of the Cayman Islands. We believe a journey through the tastes, the aromas, and flavours of the past create the perfect restaurant or take-out experience.

We focus on ingredients with providence, quick-serve, handmade meals that are convenient for busy lives, balanced with that special occasion feel and beautifully fresh, delicious food. Pane & Pasta is perfect for those who love eating well. We cater for every meal occasion, including delicious sweet treats in between.

As you enter our exclusive Camana Bay premises, you will see our chefs at work. The Pane & Pasta team originate from Italy, where they have honed world-class skills in making beautifully hand crafted, delicate, genuine, fresh food. We have been awarded a Five Star hygiene rating and you can read more about the providence of our chefs below.

Dine In
Our restaurant at Camana Bay is a perfect place to have a hearty breakfast, a quick meal at lunchtime, a friendly aperitif or the perfect night out. We offer a full variety of dishes including authentic fresh breads, genuine fresh pasta dishes and sumptuous sauces, hearty breakfasts, delicate pastries, fresh paninis and pizza… and fine Italian wines. We also have an exceptional take-out service for customers on the go, or for those who prefer to entertain at home. All items on the dine in menu are available for take-out. Perfect.

PAOLO CASTELLO

The Food Entrepreneur


Paolo is an entrepreneur, with interests in a number of business’s in his native Torino. His primary business passion is the food industry and he has worked with his partner Amedeo since the launch of their restaurant “Sansalvario Caffè Bistrot”. He also has a long and strong business partnership with the “Pastificio I gusti d’altri tempi“ a renowned freshly made pasta business.

AMEDEO MASALA

The Pasta Maker


Amedeo was born in Florence, Italy, in 1981. He attended catering college before learning his trade in hotels, then moved into the restaurant trade as head of game and sous chef at the renowned “Ristorante Tosa” of Moncalieri (Torino). He then became chef of “ Ristorante La Duja” in Cirie, a small village close to Torino where he perfected the process of fresh filled pasta with exciting fillings. In 2012, Amedeo with his partner Paolo Castello, opened his own restaurant the “Sansalvario Caffè Bistrot”, where he further expanded his Italian cuisine influenced by Asia and North Africa.

SELENE ODDENINO

The Baker


Selene was born in 1975 into a family steeped in the tradition of baking going back multiple generations. Selene owns and operated Domenica “Il Fornaio” an authentic Italian bakery located in the Centre of first capital of Italy, Torino, for over twenty years with her mom. The bakery is world famous for products, especially its range of bread sticks (grissini). Working on the leavening natural method she produces all her yeast from scratch. Using traditional techniques, Selene produces award winning products which have been featured in numerous books, articles and documentaries and includes breads and grissini, dry bakery, breakfast cakes, pies, cookies of all kinds, and croissants.
